Who are we?

The Cultural School in Norrköping is seeking an art teacher for a part-time position of 60% permanent employment. We are a creative and pleasant workplace with a wide range of courses in art, dance, theater, film, and music for children and youth in their leisure time.

We are located in central Norrköping and have close cooperation with the local cultural life to create a positive learning environment. The courses in art and design are conducted in bright, well-equipped premises adapted for the activities.

Your Responsibilities

As an art teacher at the Cultural School, you will work to inspire and guide children and young people aged 6 to 25 in their artistic development.

You will teach various art subjects, plan and conduct lessons, and create a creative and stimulating environment where students can develop their creative abilities.

You will collaborate with other educators and staff to develop and implement projects that engage and challenge our students.

We offer the possibility of some remote work, which gives you flexibility in your workday.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree and post-secondary education in art and design. You have experience teaching in a cultural school and experience in pedagogical work with children and youth.

You are creative and enthusiastic with the ability to inspire and develop individuals.

You have good pedagogical skills where you adapt your communication based on who you are meeting.

Furthermore, we see that you are attentive in your approach, developing positive relationships with both students and colleagues.

You have a good ability to work independently but contribute positively in collaboration with others, sharing knowledge and information actively with the team to achieve common goals.

Since we work with children and youth, the work environment is dynamic, and you enjoy changes that may occur during the workday.

You are flexible and prioritize accordingly when needs arise.

We expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
